FAQ’S

Got Some Questions?

How do I book an appointment?
Booking your appointment couldn’t be easier. You can book online by clicking on the ‘book now’ links on our website or just give us a call.
What do I need to wear to my appointment?
To get the most out of your session it’s important that you wear appropriate clothing. This consists of:

Clothing that allows us to access the area of complaint, i.e. shorts for a lower limb complaint, a strappy top for neck/shoulder issues
Comfortable clothing that will allow you to move easily
If you are into exercise, it’s generally best to wear the clothing and footwear you regularly use

There are changing rooms available onsite if you’d like to use them. If possible, please change before the start of your appointment.

What do I need to bring to the initial assessment?
You don’t have to bring anything except yourself and appropriate clothing. However, if you have a referral letter from your GP, consultant or other professional, please bring it with you.
If you have copies of relevant x-rays or scan results that relate to your condition, then please bring these.
If you are using private insurance, you will need to either enter your details online when you book in or bring them with you.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. You are welcome to bring someone into your physiotherapy session with you. If you are a minor, your guardian will need to accompany you.
How do I know how many sessions I'll need?
The number and type of sessions required will depend completely on the individual. During your initial assessment, your Physiotherapist will discuss the options available to you and the predicted number of sessions. As a general rule, a standard course of physiotherapy is 4 to 6 sessions but this varies considerably. For example if you book in for injury prevention screening it may be as little as 1 to 2 sessions.
I'm still not sure if I need physiotherapy. What should I do?
If you’ve looked at our website and are still unsure how we can help you, just give us a call or use the ‘contact us’ form on the website. One of our team members will get back to you with recommendations and advice.
Should I see a Physiotherapist or a massage therapist?
This is a common question that often causes some confusion. Our advice is that if you are struggling with pain, discomfort, injury, are concerned for the future or looking to increase your physical activity safely, then you would benefit from a physiotherapy assessment, advice and an intervention plan. We will be happy to recommend and refer you to a massage therapist (or other professionals) if it is appropriate.

When I walked through the door for my first consultation, I never imagined the improvement possible in such a short space of time.
